Cemetery and Crematorium Technician

The States of Guernsey are looking for a Cemetery and Crematorium Technician to join the team at States Property Unit. The Foulon Cemetery and Crematorium is the only crematorium facility available on the island and the only cemetery facility available to the parish of St Peter Port. The role of Cemetery and Crematorium Technician provides assistance to the Cemetery and Crematorium Supervisor in the day-to-day operation of Le Foulon Cemetery and Crematorium. The main duties consist of the operation of the cremators and associated abatement equipment, general maintenance of the crematorium and cemetery including routine maintenance of the cremators and some grounds maintenance duties as required. The Cemetery and Crematorium Technician will also liaise with members of the public, contractors, clergy and funeral directors in the absence of the Cemetery and Crematorium Supervisor.
