ICT Governance and Cyber Security Officer

About the Role: The States of Guernsey are looking for a ICT Governance and Cyber Security Officer to join the team at Law Enforcement. The post holder will be expected to support the delivery and continuous improvement of information assurance, and cyber security practices across the organisations within Bailiwick Law Enforcement (BLE), and those that operate within BLE's ICT environment. The postholder will provide the primary supporting function to the lead in this area and will be responsible for assisting with maintaining documentation, records, guidance and policies to ensure the organisation complies with relevant legislation, policies, and standards, and is resilient to emerging cyber threats. . If you are successful after interview, a copy of your passport and your Guernsey Social Security Number or UK National Insurance number will be forwarded to the Guernsey Vetting Unit by HR; please ensure this information is entered / uploaded onto your job application. A link to access your Law Enforcement Vetting e-Form will then be sent to you via email by the Guernsey Vetting Unit. In order to satisfy residency criteria, you need to have been resident in the UK or Guernsey for a period of 5 years. The calculation of the period of time refers to the period immediately before an application is made and not any other period or accumulation of time spent in the UK or Guernsey. The process will assess an individual's behaviour and conduct to determine their honesty, integrity, trustworthiness, maturity, reliability, and overall suitability to work in policing.
