Overview We are looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Junior Mortgage Case Handler to join our growing Mortgage Sales Team on an initial temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning their career in financial services, with full training and support provided. In this role, you will work closely with customers and brokers to ensure all mortgage applications are accurately packaged and submitted to our onboarding team. You will also support the wider Mortgage Sales team in sourcing new business and helping to promote the Skipton International brand across the Channel Islands. Key Accountabilities Application Packaging & Administration Prepare and package UK and Guernsey mortgage applications in line with Skipton requirements before submitting them to onboarding. Process full broker panel registrations, including monthly and annual checks. Carry out credit checks via TransUnion/CIDS. Review eMortgage and paper applications daily to ensure Minimum Submission standards are met. Provide administrative support to the Mortgage Sales Team, including project tasks when required. Customer & Broker Interaction Work closely with customers and brokers to ensure smooth progression of applications. Deliver excellent levels of service, ensuring customer outcomes are appropriate and positive. Maintain accurate communication via email and phone (full training provided). Team Support & Collaboration Contribute to the smooth running of the Mortgage Sales team across Guernsey and Jersey. Engage positively with company values and behaviours, promoting a culture of trust, ownership, and teamwork. Compliance & Risk Management Maintain customer confidentiality and data integrity in line with Data and IT Security Policy. Comply with all relevant controls, security procedures, and annual compliance training. Champion a strong compliance culture and proactively promote best practice. Personal Development Embrace learning opportunities and take accountability for your personal development. Participate in performance reviews and develop skills through internal and external courses. Option to progress toward CeMAP qualification in future. Requirements Essential Skills & Competencies Strong verbal and written communication skills (training provided). Ability to respond to emails efficiently and professionally. Comfortable dealing with external parties (training provided). Good organisational, planning, and prioritisation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong relationship‑building skills within the team and wider business. Good IT skills, including Word, Excel, and general data input. Experience No prior financial services experience required. Desirable Good work ethic and proactive attitude. Understanding of financial services regulation, AML obligations, and UK/Guernsey/Expat property markets (training provided).
