Our client is recruiting a Trainee Service Desk Administrator to provide first-line IT support across the organisation. Full training will be provided, making this role ideal for a motivated candidate eager to develop technical skills! Location Guernsey , Channel Islands Duties for this role include, but are not limited to: Providing first-line IT support to end users across hardware and software queries. Logging, tracking and prioritising support tickets to ensure timely resolution. Assisting with setup and maintenance of computers, phones and other equipment. Supporting user account management for new starters and leavers. Conducting routine checks to ensure systems remain functional. Assisting with system testing, rollout and documentation during small projects. Supporting the Facilities team with workstation setup where required. Maintaining accurate IT asset registers and documentation. Adhering to IT policies, security standards and data protection requirements. Skills / Qualifications The ideal candidate will hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths and demonstrate a genuine interest in IT and computing. A Level 3 qualification in IT or equivalent is desirable, although not essential. Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. Previous exposure to ITIL, Citrix, Active Directory or Service Desk platforms would be advantageous but full training will be provided.
