The States of Guernsey is looking to recruit HR Advisors (Business Partnering) who will support the provision of HR services to designated operational/service areas, as part of the HR Business Partnering service, based within the HR Operations element of the new HR model. HR Advisors have responsibility for supporting operational managers/service leads in the adoption of HR practice, aligned to, and compliant with HR policies, procedures and Directives. As such, they are expected to provide accurate and consistent technical HR advice and guidance to both managers/service leads and employees in the wider workforce. HR Advisors should have an good understanding and application of the differing terms and conditions of employment which exist within the public service, and assist and advise on HR issues across the employee lifecycle (from recruitment to exit). They directly support operational managers/service leads in the governance relating to organisational structures and the use of position numbers, consistency in the use of workforce data and in the recording and management of sickness absence. HR Advisors support operational managers in dealing with conduct, management of sickness absence and performance related matters supporting remedy and early intervention.
