Our client is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their Employment Law department. This role offers flexible working hours and is office based. It is ideally suited to a candidate who holds a law degree or an equivalent qualification and has a minimum of six months' experience within a legal environment. The position primarily serves as an assistant role, providing essential support to senior fee earners. However, the title and scope of the role may be adapted for a more experienced lawyer looking to modify their working pattern. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills in a dynamic team and contribute to meaningful employment law cases while ensuring a high standard of client service. Job Duties Supporting senior fee earners by carrying out core elements of employment law case management, including conducting case analysis and research. Preparing chronologies for cases. Assisting with disclosure and witness management. Helping with client management through effective communication. Advising clients in compromise agreement matters with training and supervision. Managing client matters, including maintaining email and telephone contact in collaboration with administration staff and fee earners. Job Requirements A minimum of six months' experience working in a law firm. An interest in employment law is essential. Experience in contract and litigation is particularly helpful but not essential. Capability of dealing with clients effectively. A high level of literacy and numeracy in day-to-day operations. Familiarity with legal operations, compliance, and document management systems is advantageous. Holding a degree, ideally a law degree, is preferred but not mandatory.
