Service Area: Sensory Support Services Salary Grade: Main Pay Scale or Upper Pay Scale Salary Range: £41,147 - £58,812 or £62,077 - £65,990 plus SEN Allowance of £2,745 per annum and Management Allowance Level 1 of £3,907 per annum Working Arrangements: Term Time About the Role: The States of Guernsey are looking for a Qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired to join the team at Sensory Support Services. The post holder will be expected to promote inclusive practice and ensure that learners with vision impairment access education equitably, consistent with the Education Strategy and ALN Code of Practice. The post holder will demonstrate flexibility and professional awareness of working within a small-island context, working effectively and collaboratively with families, learners, local systems and networks including the third sector. This role comes with a competitive salary and entitlement to a pension scheme. For candidates who would be required to relocate to the Bailiwick of Guernsey, we also offer a relocation package to help with the cost of moving over to the Island. This role offers off-Island candidates an 8-year Long Term Employment Permit (see details below). This permit will also enable candidates to bring immediate family members with them who will be permitted to work on the Island in any sector.
