Junior Software Developer

Our client is seeking a Junior Software Developer to support their in-house systems and product development- ideal for a technically minded individual looking to build experience across development and IT support. This position provides practical experience across cloud-based platforms, integrations and reporting solutions. Location Guernsey , Channel Islands Duties for this role include, but are not limited to: Supporting the development and delivery of software products and DevOps initiatives. Maintaining and enhancing internal systems, including cloud-based payroll and registration platforms. Collaborating with third-party partners to support integrations. Responding to feedback from senior developers and implementing improvements. Contributing to the continuous improvement of data structures and system performance. Generating custom reports for internal stakeholders. Skills / Qualifications The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving ability and a genuine interest in software development. They will have experience or exposure to PHP and MySQL, along with familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS. Strong communication skills are essential, particularly the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and an interest in building secure, efficient systems are key.
