Procurement Manager

The States of Guernsey are looking for a Procurement Manager (Common Categories) to join their team at Procurement. As a member of the Procurement team, the post holder will play a key role in leading and supporting procurement activity across the States of Guernsey. The individual will work closely with stakeholders across all Service Areas to help build strategies for a range of different categories and support the delivery of individual requirements delivered through tendering and contracting processes. The individual will be responsible for implementing their strategies through effective procurement execution, ensuring value for money is achieved, establishing structures which enable the contracts and suppliers to be managed effectively and enabling systems to be utilised appropriately to aid the delivery of efficiencies and savings. A Procurement Manager may be assigned responsibility for a set of sub-categories in order to establish subject matter expertise within the procurement team.
