Team Leader of English

The States of Guernsey are looking for a Team Leader (11-16) to join the English Department at St Sampsons High School. The Team Leader (TL) will support the Principal in providing leadership for a curriculum team, working to develop an inclusive, supportive and challenging environment for both staff and students, within a safe and secure environment. The post holder will take a lead role in the overall leadership and management of the curriculum area and quality assurance. The Team Leader will support the development of a curriculum that challenges learners and makes a positive contribution to improving the life chances of young people. The TL will be expected to work collaboratively with the Middle Leadership Team and other schools within the Secondary School Partnership in the pursuit of excellence for all, professional support and continuous improvement. The Team Leader is responsible for the performance of all staff within the Team, including acting as Team Leader within the school's performance management system. This role comes with a competitive salary and entitlement to a pension scheme.
