Tyre Fitter/ Wheel Cleaner

At St Martin Tyre Centre we are seeking a reliable and skilled Tyre Fitter / Wheel Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting, repairing, and maintaining tyres, as well as carrying out wheel refurbishment and minor repair work. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Fitting, balancing, and repairing tyres on a range of vehicles, including cars and light commercial vehicles Inspecting tyres and wheels for damage, wear, and safety issues Carrying out puncture repairs in line with safety standards Removing and refitting wheels using appropriate tools and equipment Performing wheel repairs, including minor alloy wheel refurbishment, scuff removal, and cosmetic improvements Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner Maintaining a clean and safe working environment Following all health and safety procedures and company policies Providing excellent customer service and advice when required Person Specification and Experience Required: Previous experience in tyre fitting and/or wheel repair preferred but not essential Knowledge of tyre safety standards and fitting procedures Ability to use tyre fitting and balancing equipment Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong time management skills Benefits: - Competitive Salary 22 Days Annual Leave plus Public Holidays (increasing with service) Pension Scheme Refer a Friend Scheme Employee Assistance Programme, offering unlimited access to 24/7/365 to support for mental health, and advice including financial, relationship and legal advice.
