Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages - St Anne's Alderney

The States of Guernsey are looking to recruit a Teacher of Modern Foreign languages with a second subject specialism (to be confirmed at a later date) to join St Anne's School in Alderney. The three island 11-16 High Schools, the Guernsey Grammar School & Sixth Form Centre (11-18), and St Anne's School in Alderney are part of a federated model of Federation working led by the Director of Education. The successful candidate will be someone who is passionate about supporting and raising students’ individual achievements with innovative ideas to build on existing good practice, alongside being able to demonstrate excellence in teaching and learning. They will be part of a team who identify, support and enable personalised opportunities for students, and deliver the new Bailiwick Curriculum including a range of international and UK qualifications. We expect our staff to make a full contribution to the ethos, identity and life of the school, offering a commitment to the broad range of enrichment activities that are available. The person appointed will be committed to the role in the context of the development of St Anne's School. St. Anne's School is unique within the Bailiwick of Guernsey as an all-through school; one island - one school. We cater for learners aged from 3 to 16 and have a Foundation 1 Class (Pre-school) for children from the age of 3 with 15 hours FREE provision (9.00-12.00) Monday to Friday as a direct feed to our highly regarded Reception Class. As a wholly inclusive school we also offer Complex Needs provision and the make-up and structure of our classes varies greatly year upon year.
