Assistant Team Leader of English (11-16)

The States of Guernsey are looking for an Assistant Team Leader (11-16) to join the English Faculty at St Sampsons High School. The Assistant Team Leader will support the Team Leader in providing leadership and support for the Curriculum Team, working to develop an inclusive, supportive and challenging culture for both staff and students, within a safe and secure environment. The postholder will take a leadership role within the Curriculum Area and will contribute to the development of a curriculum that challenges learners and makes a positive contribution to improving the life chances of young people. The Assistant Team Leader will be expected to work collaboratively with the broader Middle Leadership Team and other schools within the Secondary School Partnership in the pursuit of excellence for all, professional support and continuous improvement. The Assistant Team Leader is responsible for supporting the Team Leader with the performance of all staff within the Team, including acting as a Leader within the school’s performance management system. This role comes with a competitive salary and entitlement to a pension scheme.
