Trainee Fund Accountant

Start your career in finance with a Trainee Fund Accountant role commencing in August 2026! This opportunity is ideal for a school leaver or graduate looking to build a long-term career in fund accounting. Location Guernsey , Channel Islands Duties for this role include, but are not limited to: Supporting bookkeeping, accounting and reporting for a portfolio of venture capital funds. Assisting with the preparation of quarterly management accounts and annual financial statements. Supporting audit processes and responding to audit queries. Assisting with the preparation of information for tax reporting. Monitoring client communications and responding to queries in a timely manner. Maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting financial processes. Working closely with fund administration teams to ensure data accuracy. Completing training programmes and studying towards professional qualifications. Skills / Qualifications The ideal candidate will be a school leaver or graduate with A-Level qualifications or equivalent, including Maths and English, and demonstrate a strong interest in accounting or financial services. They will possess good communication and organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team. A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to professional development are essential, along with basic IT skills and a problem-solving mindset.
