Data Protection Officer

The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring compliance with data protection legislation and good practice across the Committee areas. The post holders will act as the main point of reference within their assigned Committee areas and will provide high-level advice and assistance regarding data protection. The post holders will assist with the development of data protection procedures alongside the preparation of supporting documentation. They will also be responsible for the implementation of these procedures within their respective Committee areas. The post holders will be required to undertake proactive and reactive activities aimed at ensuring the ongoing compliance with core data protection principles. This will include conducting audits to ensure compliance with policies and directives and investigating data protection breaches.
