Occupational Therapy Assistant - Band 3

The States of Guernsey are looking for an Occupational Therapy Assistant to work within the Lighthouse Wards within Mental Health Services. The role sits within the inpatient wards, who offer Specialist Mental Health services to people who have both acute and enduring presentations. The role is to provide a range of Occupational Therapy support to an agreed number of service users and ensure that they are given the time needed to promote their functioning and to enable them to engage in person-centred activities that benefit wellbeing within their care environment. The post holder will facilitate a variety of person-centred activities depending on the requirements of the individual service user. The role requires liaison with the Mental Health team, other senior staff, and outside agencies, to help maximise the quality and quantity of services within the inpatient environment.
