Our client, a full service bank and wealth manager based in Guernsey, is seeking to recruit a Credit Risk Administrator to assist in ensuring that all credit administration and procedures are carried out in accordance with company policies.

Responsibilities

Assist with the maintenance and actioning of the diary system, ensuring action points are carried out.

Offer support with the monitoring of security provided, reviewing security as necessary in order to identify emerging difficulties with security cover as early as possible.

Ensure that all credit and security documentation is properly taken and is effective for its purpose under relevant laws and jurisdictions, and that periodic reviews are made to ensure the documentation’s ongoing validity.

Assist with the safe keeping arrangements for credit and security documentation, ensuring these are secure (under dual control), orderly and recorded on T24.

Ensure that credit documentation is signed by Borrowers, including Facility Letter, Board Resolutions, Mandates and third party Guarantees and/or Indemnities, making sure that the documents are effective in documenting the Bank’s rights and the Borrower’s obligations in protecting the Bank’s position.

Maintain the continuing quality of the bank’s credit card and staff loan facilities through careful analysis in accordance with group policies, before credit card facilities are granted, and through early identification of any emerging problems after facilities are granted.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the banking sector, with the ability to develop a knowledge of relevant legal jurisdictions, in so far as this relates to the provision of facilities and the taking of security from entities incorporated in such jurisdictions. Applicants will have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office with good judgement skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure. The successful candidate will have an analytical mind teamed with solid problem solving abilities and solid communication and organisational techniques. This role will suit a proactive and self motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritise workloads in a deadline driven environment. ####
