What is the opportunity?
Based in the Jersey office and spanning a 24 month period, the programme will provide a holistic experience of our Wealth Management solutions in the British Isles. You will complete four 6 month rotations in client facing and business solutions roles.
At the end of the programme you will have gained a thorough and diverse understanding of the Wealth Management business.
What will you do?
- Gain a reasonable understanding of the RBC Wealth Management businesses and working knowledge of each business areas products and client solutions. Rotations will include a combination of Fiduciary Services - Private Client and Corporate Employee & Executive Service, Investments, Sales and Relationship Management and Banking and Custody
- Effectively build strong working relationships with team members, senior management and other relevant stakeholders related to the role in each business rotation
- Develop a good understanding of the policies, procedures and systems relevant to your role within each rotational business area
- Performs own job responsibilities with a commitment to quality
- Achieves team goals by working with others and performing assigned tasks
- Applies business and financial understanding to own work to make good decisions
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Be on course for at least a minimum 2:1 result in your degree
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Exceptional communication skills with a natural ability to influence and build strong professional relationships
- Motivated self-starter and creative team player who is confident, inquisitive and has initiative
- Works effectively in a pressurised and constantly changing environment
- Demonstrable academic and extra-curricular achievements Nice to have
- Awareness of global economic issues and a genuine interest in the wealth management industry
- Willingness to undergo a professional qualification depending on your preferred career route
