Senior Client Accountant, Guernsey

An independent, privately owned and Guernsey-regulated family office is seeking a highly experienced Senior Client Accountant to join its professional and dedicated team. This owner-managed business delivers bespoke fiduciary and family office services to Ultra High Net Worth individuals and their families, with clients across the UK, Israel, Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond. About the Role Reporting to a Director, you will manage a diverse portfolio of client trusts and companies, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. You will take a lead role in overseeing the accounting function, working closely with colleagues to maintain high standards of service delivery. Key Responsibilities • Bookkeeping and reconciliations for both the company and clients under management • Recording portfolio gains and losses in accounting systems • Preparation and/or review of financial statements for client structures • Assisting with annual audit requirements • Monitoring compliance with liquidity and capital adequacy standards • Preparing statutory filings as required • Leading and managing members of the accounting team • Supporting technology advancements in accounting processes About You You will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CAT or equivalent) with at least 7 years’ professional experience in the finance industry. You will bring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines effectively. An enthusiastic, hands-on approach, combined with strong team management and communication skills, is essential. Experience in accounting systems and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset will be highly valued.
