Finance Manager, Cayman Islands

Join a leading offshore law firm with international operations across the Caribbean and beyond. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to support and oversee the financial operations of Caribbean offices, including Cayman and the BVI. Working as part of a centralised Finance function, the successful candidate will be responsible for financial performance, operational oversight, and embedding financial best practices within the region. This role is suited to a qualified accountant with a background in professional services who enjoys hands-on responsibility, process improvement, and team leadership. Duties for this role include, but are not limited to: • Managing day-to-day financial operations in line with internal policies and local regulatory requirements. • Providing financial performance insights to support decision-making. • Promoting financial discipline and awareness across business units. • Supporting business planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities. • Coaching and mentoring finance staff based in the region. • Enhancing financial systems and processes for greater efficiency. • Ensuring adherence to AML, client accounting, and jurisdictional compliance. • Coordinating audit activity and managing financial investigations. • Acting as the primary finance liaison for regional teams. • Overseeing banking relationships and account administration. The ideal candidate will have: • A recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent). • Previous experience in a finance management role within a professional services setting. • Sound understanding of financial regulations in offshore jurisdictions. • Experience improving financial processes and systems. • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. • Familiarity with legal finance systems (Aderant advantageous). • Proficiency in Excel and attention to financial accuracy and control.
