Trainee Actuary / Analyst – Investment, Guernsey

Our client is the largest group of actuaries and consultants in the Channel Islands seeking to recruit a Trainee Actuary / Analyst – Investment. Key responsibilities will include; • Producing high quality regular investment analysis and reports • Assisting in the delivery of investment consultancy services to clients • Supporting the manager in the delivery of non-regular reporting and other consultancy services to clients • Representing the company professionally and effectively with clients and investment managers • Checking work of other team members • Providing input into investment related projects and processes including development of mathematical models The successful candidate will have: • Maths at A Level (Grade A – B) essential, English minimum C grade at GCSE • Demonstrate good numeracy skills and provide evidence of accuracy • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel • There will be the opportunity to study for a professional qualification if desired • Previous experience in a financial services office environment will be an advantage to applicants • Knowledge and experience of visual basic or similar would be desirable • Interest in mathematical modelling and problem solving
