Contract FTTP Installation Technician – FTTP Programme, Guernsey

Fixed-Term Contract until 31 December 2026 Our client is driving Guernsey’s fibre broadband revolution and is seeking an FTTP Installation Technician to join the team on a fixed-term contract. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on, outdoor work and wants to be part of a supportive, fast-moving technical environment. As part of the FTTP Programme, you’ll install, test and commission fibre broadband services for residential and business customers, including associated wiring systems, WiFi routers and terminals. The work is varied and physical, involving customer site visits, technical problem-solving, and working at heights to install and maintain services in all weather conditions. A full category B driving licence is essential. Key Responsibilities Include: • Installing, maintaining and commissioning FTTP services and equipment. • Carrying out site surveys and liaising with customers. • Working at height, including pole climbing and ladder work. • Supporting underground and overhead fibre installations. • Following safe working practices and maintaining high standards of customer care. What’s Needed: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to follow working practices and procedures. • Comfortable working at heights and outdoors. • Good communication and customer service skills.
