A dynamic opportunity has arisen for Senior Analysts to join the expanding Financial Crime Division. This division plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the financial system by supervising firms and individuals. The team oversees a wide range of businesses, including banks, Trust and Company service providers, investment firms, insurers, virtual asset service providers, estate agents, law firms, and accountancy providers. Adopting a risk-based approach, the division focuses its efforts on entities that present higher residual risks of money laundering, terrorist financing, and proliferation financing. Key Responsibilities Include: • Assisting in maintaining and enhancing relationships with firms, including analyzing requests for approvals, consents, or comments on changes such as control, directors, or license surrenders. • Planning and attending on-site visits, conducting research, analyzing key issues, reviewing files, and assessing risks. • Analyzing periodic returns, financial statements, and other data to assess ongoing compliance with licensing criteria. • Conducting sector-wide analysis, preparing trend documents, incorporating risk-based findings, and presenting results to the industry. • Leading on-site visits, employing in-depth questioning techniques to obtain specific information and conducting thorough analyses. • Preparing and delivering visit findings, providing feedback to firms, and following up on matters raised. • Presenting cases to the Risk Governance Panels. The Successful Candidate Will Have: • A strong understanding of the Handbook on Countering Financial Crime (AML/CFT/CPF). • Experience in producing high-quality reports. • Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills. • The ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks effectively.
