Our client is a well-established professional services business with a strong reputation in trust and company administration. They are seeking a Client Accountant to join their finance function in Guernsey, working as part of a small and collaborative team. The Role The Client Accountant will be responsible for preparing trust and company accounts and supporting wider financial reporting activities. The role involves a mix of hands-on accounting work and ensuring deadlines are met for regulatory and statutory purposes. Key responsibilities include: • Preparation of trust and company accounts • Producing management accounts and financial statements • Maintaining client case ledgers, including double-entry bookkeeping • Managing records to meet filing deadlines for tax and regulatory requirements • Supporting audits and working with external auditors • Contributing to the implementation of new systems, procedures and standards Experience & Skills Required • Relevant professional qualification (for example ACCA) • Proven experience in a client accounting role • Experience preparing financial statements and management accounts • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards • Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting software • High level of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail • Experience with complex trust or fiduciary structures • Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks What’s in It for You? • Full-time role with some flexibility available • Competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience • Opportunity to work in a small, supportive finance team • Exposure to a varied portfolio of trust and company clients
