About the team: This Private client team is responsible for selling the Private Client offering — and the wider Investec Group proposition — to prospective clients. The team focus on individuals and businesses that align with our target market and sector criteria, driving highquality client outcomes and sustainable commercial growth. My Impact: You'll maintain and regularly review an active sales plan that reflects the needs of our target market and supports business growth. This will include using data, analytics, Business Insights and MI to shape your pipeline, monitor activity and continually refine your approach. You'll actively seek new opportunities — from referrals, networking and sector insights — identifying prospects who could benefit from Private Client solutions or broader Investec capabilities. Meeting prospective clients, understanding their objectives and progressing opportunities will be a core part of your daytoday work. Every interaction will be guided by our Consumer Duty responsibilities, ensuring the right outcomes for clients and the business. You'll own and manage CRM data for all prospective clients, ensuring timely follow up and a consistent, forward looking pipeline. Collaboration is key — you'll work closely with Relationship Managers to support new client acquisition and facilitate seamless introductions across the group. A strong commercial mindset is important. You'll stay connected to Investec's strategic priorities and understand how Private Client contributes to the wider business. You'll build deep knowledge of our proposition, the external environment and where opportunities exist across the group, including wealth opportunities with Rathbones. Performance expectations will be set out in your performance framework, and you'll regularly review your outcomes to identify improvements — whether in contact strategy, pitching, referrals or conversion. With support from your leader, you'll take an active role in your ongoing learning and development. What do I need to bring? Proven experience in sales, networking, origination and business development, especially with HNW (high net worth) clients The ability to influence effectively, progress conversations and close sales. Innovative in finding leads and new business Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships. A commitment to acting with integrity and treating customers fairly. Strong commercial acumen High emotional intelligence and empathy. Excellent time management and planning skills. Technical banking knowledge (desirable)
