We are looking for Caymanian students interested in an Ogier summer internship, who wish to pursue a career in law or corporate / financial services. This year, we are accepting applications from students who have strong academics and an interest in pursuing (or are already pursuing) the LLB or LPC/SQE/PPC or a Degree in Business studies, Finance or other related specialism. If already holding a degree this should be at a grading of 2:1 or above. If we progress an application, the next stage is to invite you for interview. Interviews are conducted by members of our training committee and a representative from the HR Department. Successful candidates will attend a four week internship and will receive mentoring and development from talented individuals during the course of their Internship.
The standard of applicants each year is very high and we ensure that every applicant is given equal opportunity. Students will need to include all documents listed below in order for their applications to be considered:
- Cover Letter and Resume;
- Most Recent Grades;
- Degrees / Qualifications;
- 2 Written References less than 6 months old;
- Colour Copy of your Passport Picture Page; AND
- Proof of Caymanian Status.
Our Internship Programme lasts for four weeks and you will have the opportunity to gain experience in one of our practice areas, depending on your area(s) of interest. Practice areas are listed below.
Legal Internship Areas:
- Banking & Finance;
- Corporate;
- Dispute Resolution;
- Investment Funds.
Financial Services Areas:
- Ogier Global - the corporate services arm of our business;
- Compliance;
- Finance;
- HR;
- Operations.
Summer internships commence from June through to end of August in every year.
