The Communications Director is responsible for shaping and delivering a strategic communications programme that reinforces Guernsey’s position as a credible, responsible, and forward-looking international finance centre. Guided by the organisation’s core values of sustainability, innovation, integrity, passion, professionalism and respect, the role delivers clear, consistent and compelling communications that strengthen long-term reputational capital across priority markets and stakeholders.

The Director also leads the proactive management of reputational risk, ensuring swift, authoritative responses to emerging issues in order to protect and strengthen Guernsey’s standing in the global marketplace.

The applicant must demonstrate a personal commitment to professionalism, integrity, respect, and ethical practice across all aspects of communications. They should have a strong understanding of Guernsey’s financial services sector, along with senior-level experience in communications, public relations, journalism, or corporate affairs. The role requires a confident adviser and spokesperson with strong commercial and political awareness, as well as proven leadership, people management, planning, and project management capabilities.
