Mobile Voice Core Engineer

A telecommunications provider is seeking an experienced professional to support and evolve its mobile core network. This role focuses on maintaining high availability across CS, EPC and IMS platforms while supporting next-generation services including VoLTE and 5G Core. Key responsibilities ⭐ Operate and maintain mobile core and IMS platforms (CS, EPC, 5G Core) ⭐ Monitor performance, manage upgrades, patches and capacity planning ⭐ Troubleshoot complex signalling issues (SIP, Diameter, SS7) ⭐ Support IMS-based services including Cloud Voice and SIP interconnects ⭐ Maintain roaming, SMS, voicemail and value-added voice services ⭐ Contribute to network evolution, vendor engagement and RFP input ⭐ Participate in on-call rota and incident response What you’ll need ⭐ Strong knowledge of 2G, 4G and 5G core networks ⭐ Experience with MME, SGW, PGW, PCRF, HSS and IMS components ⭐ Solid understanding of SIP, Diameter, SS7 and IP networking ⭐ Experience with virtualised and containerised telecom environments ⭐ Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to manage complex incidents Why join? ⭐ Work on cutting-edge mobile and voice technologies ⭐ Be part of a collaborative, cross-functional engineering team ⭐ Supportive environment with focus on innovation and continuous learning
