Mobile Packet Core Engineer

Our client is seeking a new team member to support and enhance its 2G, 4G and 5G packet core environment. This role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance and security across EPC, IMS and next-generation mobile platforms, while supporting IoT and value-added services growth. Key Responsibilities ⭐ Operate and maintain EPC, IMS and core network platforms ⭐ Monitor performance, manage upgrades and optimise capacity ⭐ Troubleshoot complex signalling issues (Diameter, SIP, SS7, GTP, HTTPs) ⭐ Support roaming, GRX connectivity and carrier interconnects ⭐ Manage SMS, voicemail, anti-fraud and IoT platforms (NB-IoT, CAT-M) ⭐ Contribute to new product launches, platform integrations and in-life support ⭐ Participate in project delivery, network expansion and vendor engagement What You’ll Need ⭐ Strong knowledge of 2G, 4G and 5G packet core networks ⭐ Experience with EPC and 5G Core nodes and IMS components ⭐ Solid understanding of IP networking, routing, firewalls and security principles ⭐ Experience in virtualised telecom environments ⭐ Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills ⭐ Flexible approach with willingness to join on-call rota Why Join? ⭐ Work on advanced mobile core and IoT technologies ⭐ Be part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering team ⭐ Opportunity to shape next-generation mobile services
