We are now seeking a Client Accounting Services Manager to join our growing team and lead the delivery of accounting services across a diverse range of clients in the Channel Islands.
As the Client Accounting Services Manager, you will oversee the delivery and quality of accounting services across multiple service lines—including Real Estate, Private Wealth, and Corporate Services. You will manage a small team of accounting professionals, supporting their development and ensuring a high standard of output across client portfolios.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and maintaining overall control of accounting services for a portfolio of clients
- Reviewing financial statements, management accounts, and bookkeeping across a wide range of client types
- Implementing and monitoring quality control systems for the accounting team
- Providing technical accounting support during client meetings
- Leading and contributing to senior level team decisions and projects
- Working closely with software consultants and supporting the development of internal accounting systems
- Assisting with recruitment, training, and professional development of accountants and bookkeepers
- Meeting regularly with in house teams to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and KPIs
- Assisting with the creation and maintenance of client specific accounting procedures and templates
- Liaising with tax advisors and ensuring compliance with UK tax requirements (including VAT, NRL, and Corporation Tax)
- Liaising with external auditors
- Completing CRS and FATCA reporting requirements
- Undertaking other ad hoc duties as required
We are seeking a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, ICAS or equivalent) with demonstrated post qualification experience and detailed knowledge of the local finance industry, relevant legislation, and the regulatory environment. A strong understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS, financial reporting standards, and audit methodologies is essential.
Experience preparing financial statements under FRS 102 and IFRS is required, along with the ability to produce high quality client management information.
Knowledge of financial reporting requirements for Corporate, Real Estate, and Private Wealth clients, as well as familiarity with the UK tax environment, is important. Experience with Caseware or Viewpoint is advantageous but not essential.
