Our client is a leading financial services organisation undertaking a major core banking system transformation programme. This position sits within a high-profile change initiative and will provide structured PMO support to ensure strong governance, clear reporting and effective coordination across multiple project workstreams. This is an 18-month contract role within an established programme team. Role The PMO Manager will deliver high-quality PMO and governance support across a complex transformation programme. The focus will be on producing clear reporting, maintaining structure and ensuring coordination across workstreams. A more junior profile is acceptable; five years’ experience is not required. Prior banking experience is not essential. The key requirement is strong reporting capability combined with excellent communication skills. Key responsibilities • Support and enhance the PMO framework, ensuring consistent governance standards • Prepare high-quality materials for Steering Committee and oversight meetings • Produce clear project reporting, dashboards, RAID logs and milestone tracking • Translate complex information into concise summaries for senior stakeholders • Maintain and monitor the integrated project plan and critical path • Track cross-workstream dependencies and escalate where necessary • Ensure risks and issues are properly documented and followed through • Provide structured administrative and coordination support across the programme Person specification • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills (essential) • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills • High attention to detail and strong organisational ability • Experience supporting projects or working within a PMO environment is desirable • Ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders • A high-level executive assistant or senior secretary with strong reporting capability would be suitable • Prior banking experience is not required What’s in it for you? • 18-month contract within a significant transformation programme • Exposure to senior stakeholders and strategic change initiatives • Opportunity to contribute to a large-scale system implementation • Structured project environment with defined governance framework How to apply / more information
