We are looking for a talented and ambitious Business Development Executive to join our Business Development & Marketing (BDM) team. The role offers hands-on exposure to support the full BD lifecycle within Ogier's rapidly growing corporate and fiduciary services business, Ogier Global. Working under the supervision of a Senior BD Executive and a BDM Director The Executive will work as part of a small, dedicated Ogier Global BDM team which sits within our global Ogier Group BDM team. BD Planning and reporting - Assisting with the development, implementation and reporting of Ogier Global BDM plans for a range of service lines
- Supporting the planning and monitoring of activity, budgets and reviewing ROI to help assess the effectiveness of BD initiatives
- Coordinating and participating in regular planning and review meetings with service line teams including supporting targeting initiatives and innovative idea generation
CRM, targeting and data - Championing best practice use of the firm's InterAction CRM system
- In conjunction with the wider BDM team and Client Development Team, supporting the creation and ongoing development of effective targeting lists for each of the service lines using the firm's CRM system
Client Development and Events - Working with BDM events colleagues, coordinating and supporting the planning and delivery of BD events and webinars in Jersey, London and in other jurisdictions as required, including seminars, bespoke client events, corporate hospitality and conferences
- Building own network of BD peers within Ogier target clients, intermediaries and local industry associations, memberships and networks, in support of the service line business strategy
Pitches, RfPs, Collateral and content - Assisting with the development and maintenance of a comprehensive suite of BDM collateral for Ogier Global service lines
- Supporting the production of market-specific, client-centric pitches, RfPs, flyers, and capability statements, collaborating with other BDM colleagues where appropriate
- Ensuring Ogier Global's website and SharePoint content is kept up to date, working with marketing colleagues where appropriate
This is a junior position, suitable for applicants with 2+ years prior experience in BD operations and strategy and is not a sales role. - 2+ years' experience in BD, marketing or client development within a professional services or financial services environment
- Ability to form and maintain effective working relationships within Ogier at all levels
- Strong analytical and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Positive, proactive, “can-do” attitude with an ability to multi-task
- Comfortable working with data, reporting and performance metrics to support informed BD decision-making including high level of technical ability with attention to detail and ability to complete research and reporting tasks, produce high quality written documents and numerical reports
- Previous experience of using direct mail systems such as Vuture Vx
- Previous experience of using InterAction or similar CRM system
- Previous experience of using pitch and / or collateral software for the production of branded materials preferable
