The Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in delivering analytical insights and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organisation. Working closely with the Manager - Data Analytics, you will design, develop, and implement advanced analytics and business intelligence solutions, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security. This role involves both hands-on analytics work and collaboration with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, contributing to the advancement of Ogier’s data analytics initiatives. - Conduct in-depth data analysis to generate actionable business insights and recommendations

  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualisations to support business objectives

  • Collaborate closely with business units and internal stakeholders to identify and understand data requirements

  • Apply statistical techniques and data modelling to solve complex business challenges

  • Assist in the development and implementation of data governance and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance

  • Support the Manager - Data Analytics in delivering analytics projects, maintaining alignment with organisational goals

  • Ensure all deliverables adhere to Group policies, including IT Change Enablement and ITIL processes

  • Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics and business intelligence

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data analytics capabilities and reporting efficiency

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail

  • Deep expertise in data analysis, data visualisation, and business intelligence tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar)

  • Proven ability to communicate complex data findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Strong organisational and project management capabilities, balancing multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of data integrity, security, and compliance

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

  • Innovative thinking and a continuous improvement mindset

  • Customer-focused approach, committed to understanding and addressing the data needs of internal and external clients

Essential: - Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Demonstrable experience in hands-on data analysis, data visualisation, and reporting
  • Strong command of statistical analysis and data storytelling techniques
  • Proficiency with data analytics and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL)
  • Experience with data modelling and querying large data sets
  • Knowledge of best practices in data management and governance

Desirable: - Experience within the legal sector or a professional services environment

  • Understanding of data compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Advanced degree in a relevant subject
  • Certification in data analytics or business intelligence (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate)
  • Experience or knowledge of Python or other programming languages for analytics
