Business Development You will build deep, long‑term relationships with mid‑market companies using your network and market insight. You'll identify opportunities that create long‑term value, collaborate with colleagues across Investec to deliver the right solutions, and use market‑leading tools—including AI—to analyse trends and turn insights into action. Client Partnership & Solution Delivery You'll anticipate client needs, risks and opportunities, often acting before being prompted. You will connect clients to the full breadth of Investec's expertise across lending, treasury, cash management, transactional banking, equity and advisory teams—helping simplify complexity, guide confident decisions and celebrate client milestones. Strategic Portfolio & Risk Management You'll manage portfolio performance and ensure credit, regulatory and reputational risks are identified, escalated and addressed. You'll work with specialist desks to shape strategies that balance profitability with long‑term relationship strength. Collaboration & Innovation You will coordinate a seamless client experience across service, risk, operations and technology. You'll partner closely with our Private Client teams when personal and business needs intersect and contribute to the development of innovative, compliant solutions for the mid‑market. Mentoring & Leadership You will mentor Associate RMs and specialist colleagues, supporting their development and encouraging a culture of curiosity, collaboration and high performance. What Do I Need to Bring? Substantial proven experience in corporate banking , supported by BA‑level education and/or qualifications such as CFA or ACA. Sector insight in TMT, Healthcare, Professional & Business Services, Manufacturing or Consumer. Strong commercial judgement and a deep understanding of client needs and ambitions. Excellent analytical and credit skills , including financial modelling, assessment and portfolio management. Credibility with specialist desks and credit partners , building trust quickly. Hands‑On Ownership – taking responsibility and delivering outcomes. Entrepreneurial Energy – moving at pace, embracing innovation and removing friction.
