Our client is a leading global life insurance and wealth management specialist with a formidable reputation for delivering sophisticated financial solutions. As a prestigious international provider, they are known for their stability, innovation, and commitment to excellence. They are currently seeking a high-calibre Head of Operations to join their executive leadership team in Guernsey. The Opportunity This is a pivotal executive-level role where you will lead and oversee both the Wealth and Corporate Operations departments. As a member of the Executive Committee (ExCo), you will play a central role in driving the strategic direction of the business, ensuring operational excellence across all transactions and reporting functions within a complex, regulated insurance environment. Key Responsibilities • Strategic Leadership: Hold a seat on the Executive Committee, driving operational strategy and providing high-level oversight for the Guernsey branch. • Operational Excellence: Ensure robust transaction processing, high-quality service delivery, and meticulous operational reporting. • Transformation & Change: Lead and support diverse operations teams through periods of organisational evolution, fostering a proactive and solutions-driven culture. • Governance & Risk: Oversee operational risk frameworks and ensure adherence to local regulatory requirements and embedded group policies. • Communication: Act as a key communicator within the business, collaborating with senior stakeholders and external partners to ensure operational alignment. The Ideal Candidate • Proven Leadership: Extensive experience in a senior operations leadership role within a large-scale financial institution, fiduciary, or insurance provider. • Executive Presence: Demonstrated ability to influence and provide strategic guidance at the CEO and ExCo level. • Change Management: A track record of streamlining workflows, harmonising standards, and leading teams through structural or technological change. • Technical Rigour: A deep understanding of transaction processing, best execution monitoring, and regulatory reporting requirements. • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain calm, decisive leadership under pressure.
