Guernsey Weather Fox

Seven day Guernsey weather forecast for 10 June 2026

Thursday

Weather

A cloudier day than the previous, and slightly windier too (WSW’ly force 3-4 around dawn, increasing force 5 by lunchtime, perhaps occasionally strong force 6 in the afternoon). The temperature won’t suffer though, peaking at the same old 16°C, and the night time will actually be milder, falling to only 13-14°C . The grey ceiling of cloud will gradually lower, possibly right down to the airport by dusk, meaning that a little late fog disruption isn’t out of the question.

Surf and the Water

The surf will be a bit sloppy/choppy but not without a bit of size… generally around 4 feet, meaning that there will be plenty of fun to have at Vazon and the like, especially around lunchtime, when the tide is halfway between its 9:50am low and its 4pm high (7.7m). West and north coast conditions will be best of all for windsurfing and kitesurfing though. Swimming conditions will only really be ok on the east coast.

Friday

Weather

Low cloud will likely bring mist and hill fog through the morning and maybe lunchtime too. Then, after a still grey but more positive afternoon, the murk will likely return in the evening. Most of it dry, but some of it probably drizzly… there’s always a fine line between mist and drizzle. Certainly no heavy rain though, such as was unleashed from the showers in the first half of the week. Mild air yielding a max temp of 17°C despite the leaden skies and then force 4-5 WSW’ly wind. Min temp 13-14°C, same as the previous.

Surf and the Water

East coast for swimming again. West coast for sloppy/choppy 4 foot surf again. West and north coasts for reasonable (but not quite so good) windsurfing and kitesurfing conditions. Low water will be around 11am. High water will be 8.m at roughly 5pm.

The Weekend

Weather

Friday evening’s mist or hill fog will likely be with us dawn Saturday, but it should have lifted and thinned by mid-morning, finally giving way to sunshine by lunchtime, as the force 3-4 W’ly wind relaxes force 2-3. The sunshine should then stick around throughout the weekend (apart from during the starry nights of course).Sunday will show a marked improvement in terms of temperature though (at least for those who prefer a little warmth). This all being due to a light force 3 ENE’ly brining a dry continental flow to the area.. Saturday max 19°C, Sunday max 21°C.

Surf and the Water

Beautifully clean surf, especially on Sunday. Wave heights will be roughly 4 feet on Saturday and then 3 feet reducing to 2 feet through Sunday. Tides will be low at 11:50am Saturday and 12:50pm Sunday. Highs will be at roughly dawn and dinnertime (increasing incrementally from 8.2m Saturday morning to 8.8m Sunday evening).

Next Week

Weather

Wind direction is very uncertain from day to day, but with high pressure centred very nearby, be can be pretty sure that those winds will be very light, sunshine will be aplenty, showers will be possible at times but highly unlikely. Max temps should be comfortably in the low twenties every day… quite possibly the mid-twenties. Furthermore, with the summer solstice only being days away, the UV index will be V-high, likely peaking at a value 8 each lunchtime, meaning that some sort of sun-protection will be essential between roughly 10:30am and 4:30pm.

Surf and the Water

Wave heights will vary between 2 and 4 feet, generally clean throughout. Some lovely swimming conditions too, thanks to the light winds and lovely weather. Tides will be high in the mornings, slipping forward from breakfast time Monday and Tuesday, to late morning Thursday and Friday. Low tides will be in the afternoons, and the second high tides of each day will generally be around dusk. (big tides, ranging between 8.6m and 9.3m).

The next forecast update will be on Friday morning…
