Guernsey Weather Fox

Seven day Guernsey weather forecast for 18 June 2026

Friday and Saturday

Weather

Misty or foggy in the mornings and evenings, but nice and sunny in the afternoons. Sound familiar? The temperature should be on the up though, with a max of 21-22°C on Friday and then 23-24°C on Saturday. Max UV of 8 at lunchtime, so do be careful to protect your skin. Winds will be variable light force 2, so all coasts will be equally vulnerable to that mist and fog. Central parts will generally be sunniest for longest.

Surf and the Water

Clean 2 foot surf, and good swimming conditions wherever it isn’t misty or foggy. Tides will be high at lunchtime (8.6m and 8.2m respectively). Low tides will be in the late afternoons.

Sunday and Monday

Weather

A couple of super-sunny scorchers, thanks to a dry E’ly breeze light force 3 on Sunday, then light force 2 on Monday. A very suitable way to celebrate the solstice, with max temps of 28°C on the day itself and then 30°C on the Monday. Oh what a wonderful time to not be either at work or at school. Just watch out for that super-high UV index though. Protection is advised anytime between 10am and 4pm, but most of all between midday and 2pm.

Surf and the Water

Flat surf but excellent swimming conditions, especially in the south and east. Tides will be high at lunchtime (7.8m and 7.4m respectively). Low tides will be around breakfast time and dinnertime.

The Rest of Next Week

Weather

A switch of wind direction to a N’ly (probably only light force 3), will be enough to switch temperatures back to the very low twenties on Tuesday and Wednesday, even though the sunshine should still be blazing. Thursday’s and Friday’s temps might be just marginally higher, as a shift of the high pressure system from Ireland to Scotland, might just flip the wind to a moderate force 4 NE’ly, but it certainly doesn’t look hot like Sunday and Monday. All of it dry as a bone.

Surf and the Water

There’s a slim chance of some 1-2 foot surf on Friday, but the wind currently doesn’t look great for it anyway. The rest of the time simply looks flat, but great as ever for swimming, especially down on the south coast. Tides will be low in the mornings and high in the afternoons, those highs ranging between 7m and 7.4m.

The next forecast update will be on Sunday…
