Seven day Guernsey weather forecast for 08 April 2019

### MONDAY

WEATHER

In a similar way to Sunday, the morning might be somewhat plagued by cloud. Then the afternoon mostly sunny. However, one slight difference about the morning’s cloud is that it could be very low at times, possibly bringing the odd patch of mist or fog to the island. The midday and early afternoon sunshine should put pay to all that though, and the thermometers should climb to about 13C. Furthermore, with only a force 2-3 E’ly breeze to contend with, it should feel really pleasant. Going into the evening, it’s going to be a cloudier affair, as some patchy light rain comes along and then clears around midnight.

SURF AND TIDES

The smallest surf of the week on this day, but still useful if you’re a mad keen 5-10yo. In other words, one foot and clean first thing in the morning, then again late morning and again at sunset. Tides getting slightly smaller, with a high of 9m at 9:20am and a low of 1.6m at 3:30pm.

TUESDAY

WEATHER

Mixed cloud and sunshine but probably no rain until late afternoon or evening again. Winds light and variable during the day so feeling very pleasant.

SURF AND TIDES

2 to 3 feet and clean, best early morning, lunchtime and sunset. Tides continuing to get smaller, with a high of 8.7m at 9:50am and a low of 1.9m at 4pm.

WEDNESDAY

WEATHER

Overnight a fresh NE’ly wind will have picked up. This will bring some occasional showers on Wednesday and some noticeably cooler air to the islands through the next few days

SURF AND TIDES

Not so great... 2 feet and a bit choppy on the west coast. Maybe worth a bash at Petit Port around midday, but that’s a bit of a longshot. Tides; high 8.3m at 10:20am, low 2.2m at 4:40pm.

THURSDAY AND FRIDAY

The good news is it will be partly sunny, partly cloudy, but probably dry. However, on the flip-side, it’s going to be pretty chilly, with temperatures only just reaching 10C, and the force 4 E’ly wind adding a bit of a bit to it. As for the surf; well that’s looking pretty great... 3 to 5 feet of clean swell picking up through Thursday and staying until the weekend. Tides nice and small, with highs in the middle of the day.

THE WEEKEND

Staying dry but rather breezy and occasionally cloudy. It won't be quite as chilly as the previous days, but with winds largely N'ly or NEly, it will be worth seeking the shelter of the south coast if you're heading out for a good walk.

The next forecast update will be on Tuesday evening.
