THURSDAY
WEATHER
Another jump in temperature, as we go into another day of sunshine, made only a little hazy by the wispy high cirrus cloud. 17C should be the top temp, which is two degrees up on Wednesday. Winds will continue to blow from the ENE (force 4), making various corners of the south and west coasts the most comfortable places to be.
SURF AND TIDES
Only about 2 feet, but nice and clean during the morning. Unfortunately a bit choppier for the afternoon push, so the best advice us get in early. Low water will be 0.8m at 1pm. The highs will be over 9m at 6:40m and then at 7pm.
FRIDAY
WEATHER
With virtually no change in wind or sunshine, we can expect either an identical temperature to Thursday or perhaps one that is about half a degree higher.
SURF AND TIDES
Only 1-2 feet at best, and probably a shade choppier than Thursday. If any time is going to be worth a bash then it is probably during the morning again. Low water will be 0.5m at 1.50pm. The highs will be 9.7m at 7:20am and then at 7:50pm.
BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND
The most likely maximum on all three days, is 17C (perhaps a tad higher on Monday). The sunshine should maintain similar abundance and intensity to that of Friday, but there will be some variation in the wind and therefore the places that will feel warmest. Saturday and Sunday both promise a force 4-5 NE’ly, which will really drive people to the south coast for shelter. BH Monday however, promises a force 3 SE’ly, which will really open up the north and west coast for some pretty fabulous beach time.
BACK TO SCHOOL WEEK
A good old week of thundery showers for France, triggered by some proper heat during the first half of each day. For us the temperatures won't be quite as high as for them, but they should still exceed 15C on each day. Likewise, the thundery downpours aren't quite so likely, but we still might catch a few of them, most probably during the evening times. Wins will be mostly SE’ly force 3, which will be excellent for any surf that might come into the west coast. Currently, it looks as though 1-3 feet is as much as we can hope for, but longboarders and learners certainly wouldn't be complaining at that.
The next forecast update will be on Sunday.
