Wednesday
Weather.
Well the fog that ruined much of Tuesday is coming back to get us through much of Wednesday morning too. Going into the afternoon, it's uncertain whether the fog will clear due to drier brighter weather moving in from the north, or due to the rain getting heavier and washing the teeny droplets out. Either way, we can expect an eventual improvement in visibility and we can also be confident of a moderate to fresh SW’ly wind, with a top temperature of 11°C.
Surf and Tide
Waves 4-6 feet and fairly clean on the west coast. The tide will be about as big as it gets, but fortunately the wind and swell certainly won't be… high water will be about 10.2m high at 7:40am, then low water will be about 0.2m low at 2:10pm.
Thursday
Weather
Showers will be so isolated that we will have to be very unlucky to catch one, leaving most of the day dry with a mixture of cloud and sunshine. We will have a brisk W'ly wind though, which will take the edge off the 10-11°C top temperature.
Surf and Tide
Pretty messy waves 6-8 foot waves all day. The tides just as massive as on Wednesday, 10.2m high at 8:30am, then low water will be about 0.3m low at 2:50pm.
Friday
Weather
After just the odd early shower,, there will be plenty of sunshine . The wind will start the day as a fresh W'ly, then fall light, before finishing off as a moderate SSW'ly. Rain arriving at 7 or 8pm.
Surf and Tide
The waves will be getting cleaner rough the day but also smaller. I think the best call will be Vazon or Portinfer just before dusk. The tides 9.9m high at 9:10am, then 0.7m low at 3:30pm.
The Weekend
Some persistent rain on Friday night might linger into Saturday morning. But apart from that, Saturday is looking like the driest and finest day of the weekend. Sunday certainly looks as though it's going to be rainy for a while (probably heavy at times) but it's uncertain whether this will clear away during the afternoon or during the evening. Furthermore it's uncertain whether showers will follow along on Sunday night. What we can be sure of, is that the tides will not be quite so massive anymore and, that SW’ly winds will keep the temperature on the mild side of average, peeking at about 11-12°C on both days.
Next Week
It's far from certain, because the longer range forecast models have been giving very mixed signals of late. However, current predictions suggest a much drier and more settled week than we have seen recently. As I have just hinted, you must take a pretty liberal pinch of salt with this statement, so it would probably be better to just cross your fingers, rather than to hold your breath. Anyway, here's hoping!
The next forecast update should be with you on Friday evening.
