Thursday

Weather.

Well it was a bit gutting to see the cloud arrive a day early, but don't worry, the sun will be back in large doses in a few days. For now however, Thursday will just be partly sunny in the morning, with the cloud becoming much thicker during the afternoon, possibly turning misty or foggy in the evening and certainly turning drizzly overnight. Max temp 12°C, min temp 7-8°C.

Surf and Tide

Another great day of surf, a bit smaller than the previous days but still 1-3 feet and super clean with really small tides. The morning will be the best time with respect to wind, weather and swell. The afternoon will be best with respect to tide. It's all much of a muchness though so just get out there whoever you can manage it. High water will be a mere 6.6m at 3:30pm.

Friday

Weather

The only potentially wet day of this week. Probably just light drizzle in the morning, but possibly some slightly heavier rain for a time. The afternoon looks set to stay cloudy but become increasingly dry. It's going to be windy throughout though, with a strong force 6-7 ENE’ly, making it feel a lot colder than the previous days.

Surf and Tide,

The waves will be virtually flat I'm afraid, but the windsurfing conditions are looking a tad rad to say the least. The tidal range is getting a bit bigger again, low water 3m at 10:30am, high water 7.2m at 4:30pm.

The Weekend

There will still be a hangover of cloud on Saturday morning, but as the weekend progresses we should return to pristine sunshine. However, this time with a nagging ENE’ly wind, force 5-6 on Saturday then force 4-5 on Sunday. The west coast and some parts of the south coast are certainly going to be the nicest areas to hang out, and still great for windsurfing and kitesurfing. Enjoy!

Next Week

Cold air will be over the islands on Monday, but bright sunshine and sparkling visibility will lift the spirits nicely. From Tuesday onward, SSE’ly winds will bring dry air and a mixed bag of cloud and sunshine. Most importantly, the temperature should be as high as 14C by Wednesday afternoon. Gorgeous spring conditions; perfect for walking, cycling and most other outdoor activities. The best medicin you could wish for.
