Thursday
Weather.
Another super sunny one from beginning to end. Slightly hazier sunshine though, due to some high cloud creeping in. It's going to be a bit cooler as well, as the wind will be from the ENE, meaning that we have no influence from nearby France. Air temperatures will therefore be very close to sea temperatures, only peaking at about 10C.
Surf and Tide
After a couple of absolutely beautiful days for surfing, this one is going to be slightly smaller and choppier, but still worth a bash if that's your choice of exercise. The waves will be 2-3 feet and best around dawn time. High water will be about 8.9m at 7:50am, then low water will be 1.3m at 2:10pm.
Friday
Weather
A little more cloud than on Thursday, but still a bright and fairly sunny day on the whole. The NE’ly wind should be a touch gentler, so even though the temperature won't climb any higher than 10C, it should feel a bit more comfortable, especially along the south coast.
Surf and Tide,
With a more 1-2 foot swell and a side-shore wind, the waves won't really be worth a look. Good kayak and paddle-board conditions on the south coast though.
High water will be about 8.8m at 8:20am, then low water will be 1.5m at 2:30pm.
The Weekend
Ahh well, nothing lasts for ever. This weekend’s going to be a cloudy one I'm afraid, and that NE’ly wind’s going to get pretty strong too. It should be mostly dry though, until late Sunday that is, when we shall probably see the first showers in almost a week.
Next Week
Cold air from the NE or the N will be over the islands throughout the week, causing blustery showers to develop over the relatively warm water of the English Channel. These showers could have some hail or sleet mixed in with them, so it's going to feel a lot less spring-like than the current week. However, it's not all bad, because there will be some spells of bright sunshine and the visibility should be fabulous.
The next forecast update should be with you on Friday evening.
