Tuesday
Weather
A partly sunny morning and a fully sunny afternoon. The ENE’ly wind will have reduced from Monday’s more extreme strength, but it will still be fresh force 5 and with a max temp of only 10-11°C, that really is going to feel very cold compared to the weather that we have had over the past week.
Surf and Tide
1 foot and fairly clean on the west coast. Probably too difficult to battle with the wind for such a small wave. Maybe better to try an early morning onshore session at Pembroke. The tides; low will be at 5:40am and 6:10pm. High water will be about 7.3m at 11:50am.
Wednesday
Weather
Pure sunshine, and just a moderate E’ly wind. All resulting in a significant hike in the temperature. Racking up to a much more respectable 14-15°C. Watch out for sunburn. The UV index could be as high as 6 again.
Surf and Tide
2 feet and clean on the west coast. Maybe even 3 feet on the late-morning push, if we are lucky. The tides; low will be at 6:40am and 7:10pm. High water will be about 6.6m at 12:40pm.
Thursday and Friday
The two warmest days of the week, as a moderate SE’ly breeze brings continental air. It won’t all be sunny though, as cloud is likely to bubble up on both days and give us a few passing showers, some of which might just be heavy and thundery. Temps should peak at about 18°C each day, and those who go to the beach for their exercise will find very small tides and super-clean 1-3 foot surf.
The Weekend
Saturday doesn’t look desperately different to Thursday and Friday, with the chance of a shower or two, coming from the partly cloudy skies. Sunday is looking increasingly sunny and dry though. Furthermore, the winds will be decreasing, from a moderate ESE’ly on Saturday to a very light and variable breeze on Sunday. Temperatures likely to peak at about 17°C on both days.
Early Hints for Next Week
It looks as though we are in for another mostly dry and sunny week. Temperatures around average for late April., due to the wind being a moderate or fresh NE’ly through the bulk of the period, meaning that the air temperature will always be fairly close to the sea temperature. The new moon will bring spring tides through the week, but they will only be modest, with the highs never quite reaching 9m.
The next forecast update should be with you on Wednesday evening.
