Monday and Tuesday
The Weather
The last two days of cloudless skies and moderate to fresh ENE'ly winds. Temperature got to 23°C on Sunday and it will probably reach similar heights again each day, probably slightly lower, but not noticeably so. The south and west coast bays will all have their sheltered corners and their windy corners, whilst the north and east coasts will just be windy everywhere. The UV index still reaching 8 in the late morning and early afternoon, so don't forget to cover up and slap on the lotion, because fair-skinned people could burn quite badly in as little as 20 minutes.
Surf and the Water
In the surf, that nice little swell from Sunday, ought to bleed into Monday morning, but it's probably going to be near-flat for Tuesday I'm afraid. Once again, the watersports of choice will probably be kitesurfing and windsurfing, especially around the late afternoon high tides, because that's when the wind will be strongest.
Wednesday to Friday
The Weather
Cloudy at times with the risk of showers throughout. By Tuesday evening, but should have an idea of when this risk will be highest and lowest, and also when these showers could potentially be sundry. The wind will be lighter throughout this period, than it has been of late, probably just a light force 3 NNW'ly, which means that the sunny moments will be best enjoyed along the south coast.
Surf and the Water
Very little service indeed, but maybe some 1 foot wonders for the children to play with in the late afternoons, just before the tide gets too high. The tidal range will be getting bigger throughout the week, until high water exceeds 9m on Thursday evening.
The Weekend
The Weather
Quite a come down from the weekend that we have just had, with a mixed bag of cloudy sunshine and occasional showers, but mainly with the introduction of much cooler air brought along by a brisk WNW’ly wind. Temperatures probably peaking at 15-16°C in most parts, although Town always does a bit better when the wind is blowing from this direction, so maybe 17°C there.
Surf and the Water
Nothing promising in the surf department I'm afraid. Even if there is a kiddy-sized wave on the west coast, then I'm afraid it will be a bit ruined by the wind. The nicest spots to go swimming, will be Petit Bit and Moulin Huet when the tide is low in the early afternoons, or over at Bordeaux or Fermain, when the tide is high in the early mornings and in the evenings.
The next forecast update should be with you on Tuesday evening.
