TUESDAY
WEATHER Very little to say other than it will be just as sunny as on Monday, but perhaps a tiny bit more windy. That wind will be a force 5 E’ly for most of the day, so it will feel a little chilly in exposure, despite the UV index of 7 and the max temperature of 15C.
SURF AND TIDES After the complete and utter flatness of Monday we might just salvage a clean 1-2feet at Vazon in the early afternoon. High water will be 7.5m at 3:50pm.
WEDNESDAY
WEATHER Pretty much identical to Tuesday, but the sunshine might be a bit more hazy, due to high cirrus cloud, and it could possibly be a degree warmer. On both days, the toastiest spots to sunbathe (lotion on of course), will be right next to the sea walls at west boast bays like L’Eree, Vazon and Cobo.
SURF AND TIDES. Once again the surf will have to battle against a strong offshore wind, so I'm not feeling too confident. However, we might just manage another clean 2 feet during the afternoon. Tides a bit bigger, rising from a 2m low at 10.50am to an 8.1m high at 4:50pm.
THURSDAY
WEATHER Sunshine all the way. Furthermore, the wind should back to a gentle force 3 E’ly, so most areas should be a couple of degrees warmer than Saturday, thanks to the continental influence. Head to the west coast to feel warmest on this day, but don't forget your suncream (UV index 7).
SURF AND TIDES Waves 2-3 feet clean (slightly higher confidence for this). Tides; low water will be 1.6m at 11:50am, high will be 8.7m at 5:50pm..
FRIDAY AND THE WEEKEND Definitely cloudier on Friday, than earlier in the week. However, it is very uncertain whether we will get some showers on this day, or not until Saturday. In both cases, the chances will be highest in the late afternoon and evening. Furthermore, the shower risk will continue through Sunday and, given the humid origin of the air (Mediterranean), there will be a chance of thunder. Despite this slight breakdown in the weather, we should easily reach 15C or higher during the afternoons.
NEXT WEEK From Monday onwards, we will be in a gentle N’ly airflow, rather than the brisk NE’ly of the previous days. This should keep temperatures right on the climatological average (which is pretty good in mid May). Showers will come and go, but much of the time will be bright and sunny, making the south coast a particularly special place to hang out.
The next forecast update will be on Thursday.
