MONDAY
WEATHER A mostly cloudy morning, with the odd spot of rain, followed by a sunny afternoon. Winds will be force 2 NW’ly in the morning and force 3 in the afternoon, meaning that Town should feel warmest, with a max temp of 16-17C. For the most comfortable afternoon beach time, Fermain, Moulin Huet, Saints or Petit Bot should be the best of the bunch.
SURF AND TIDE Sloppy, choppy 1-2 foot waves. Still reasonably surfable in the morning though. High tide will be 9.3m at 8:20am. Low tide 1.2m at 2:40pm.
TUESDAY
WEATHER A cracking day of sunshine, with very light N’ly breezes in the morning, then force 3 NW’ly in the afternoon. The max temp should be 16-17C in most areas but probably a degree higher in Town and along the south coast.
SURF AND TIDE Winds and tides will be best for surfing in the morning, but unfortunately the waves will only be 1 foot at best. During the evening some 2 foot waves will arrive but at that time the NW’ly breeze will make them rather sloppy. High tide will be 9m at 9am. Low tide 1.5m at 3:20pm.
WEDNESDAY
WEATHER Another gorgeous dry day. Slightly more cloud than on Tuesday, but balanced out by lighter winds, meaning that we should hit a decent max temp of 17-18C in most parts of the island.
SURF AND TIDE Clean 2 foot waves through the morning and then again towards sunset. High tide will be 8.6m at 9:30am. Low tide 1.9m at 3:50pm.
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY The slippery slope towards a more unsettled weekend starts here. Thursday will see the breeze back to a SW’ly direction, but it won’t be until the evening and overnight, that we see a deterioration in the weather, as a band of showery rain sweeps through. The showers will then become isolated for Friday, which will generally be bright and breezy, with a force 4 WNW’ly wind.
THE WEEKEND Not desperately unsettled on Saturday. Just a bit of a come down from the likes of Tuesday and Wednesday. Much like Friday, Saturday will have force 4 WNW’ly winds, but it will still be mostly bright or sunny. Sunday, currently looks less pleasant, with W’ly winds probably getting a bit stronger, and the skies cloudy and occasionally showery. Max temps probably not exceeding 15C on Saturday, and then only peaking between 13 and 14C on Sunday.
The next forecast update will be on Tuesday evening.
