## Tuesday
Weather
Showers will be in the area through the morning, so there is a good chance of a quick soaking. However, the showers might also manage to miss the islands and leave us with a totally dry day. Either way, the day should become increasingly sunny. The UV index will be as much as 8 around midday, so do take care of your skin. However, it won’t be especially warm, so I doubt we will all be walking around in swimwear. The max temperature is only expected to be 15C, and the force 4 WNW’ly wind will make it feel as though it’s a few degrees cooler than that. To escape that wind-chill and feel a bit more toasty, head into Town or down to Fermain.
Surf and Tides
Very small tides; lows at 8:30am and 9pm, high at 2:50pm. Choppy but rideable on the west coast. Head to Petit Bot around low tide for some clean bodyboarding waves.
Wednesday
Weather
Light W’ly breezes and occasional rain in the morning. Fresh S’ly winds and persistent drizzle through lunchtime and the early afternoon. Winds veering WSW’ly in the late afternoon, bringing mist and fog patches for the the rest of the day and probably all night.
Surf and Tides
Tidal range still very small; low water at 9:40am, high at 3:50pm. Clean 2-3 foot waves on the west coast through lunchtime and the early afternoon.
Thursday
Weather
Cloudy all day, perhaps the odd patch of drizzle, mist or fog. However, it isn’t likely to be as disruptive as on Wednesday. The max temperature will probably be 16C, but a slim chance of brightness in the afternoon, might push Town all the way to 17C.
Surf and Tides
Tidal range gradually increasing; 3m low at 10:30am. 7.5m high at 4:50pm. As for the surf; just choppy slop all day I'm afraid.
Friday and the Weekend
Mixed cloud and sunshine on Friday, but dry, fog free and getting warmer. The max temp should be about 17-18C, with a very light and comfortable SSW’ly breeze. Carrying on into the weekend, the air will just get warmer as it continues to feed in from the south. This will give us a lovely hot, sunny day on Saturday, with temperatures probably exceeding 20C. However, all good things come to an end, and it currently as though this will be a rainy and misty one on Sunday afternoon.
Next Week
With a slack low pressure system over the British Isles next week, there are likely to be some heavy showers in the area every day, perhaps occasionally thundery. However it is also looking nice and warm, with plenty of lengthy sunny spells. Winds will be mostly force 3-4 SW’ly, meaning that Town and the east coast will always be warmest.
The next forecast update will be on Thursday evening.
