Seven day Guernsey weather forecast for 12 June 2019

Wednesday

Weather

Another day of mixed sunshine and showers, with the morning being weighted towards the the showers and the afternoon/evening being weighted towards the sunshine. Once again, 15C is about as high a temperature as we can hope for. It won't feel too bad though because winds will only be force 2-3 (NE’ly in the morning, backing NW’ly towards the end of the day). Head to the south coast for the best of the late afternoon sunshine.

Surf and Tide

Weak 1-2 feet waves. Fairly clean though and quite surfable for young learners in the afternoon. High tide will be 7.7m at 3:20pm.

Thursday

Weather

Heavier on the sunshine, lighter on the showers. About a degree warmer than Wednesday (maybe two degrees warmer in Town), with force 2-4 SSW’ly winds.

Surf and Tide

Clean surf again. Still small (only 1-2 feet) but with a tad more power thus time, meaning that adults might also be able to join in, providing they're riding a longboard or a SUP that is. Low water will be 2.4m at 10:20am. High water will be 8m at 4:20pm.

Friday

Weather

Continuing the trend from Thursday, we might actually go an entire day without catching a shower. With even more sunshine we should peak at about 18C. Winds will be force 3-4 SSW’ly, which means that the west and north coasts will really be the prime destinations to head, straight after school or work.

Surf and Tide

We should hang on to the clean 2-foot swell. Tides will be perfection the early afternoon and the evening sessions. Low water will be 2.1m at 11:20am. High water will be 8.3m at 5:20pm.

The Weekend

Virtually no change from the last couple of days. Winds generally staying moderate SSW’ly, bringing air of a pleasantly average temperature. Skies will be sunny for a large amount of the time but also cloudy for the odd spell. At the moment, it looks as though the majority of that cloud will be on Saturday, when it might even squeeze out a brief shower. The timing of that cloud is very uncertain though. With any luck, it might well come in the night-time.

Monday and Tuesday

Dry and sunny on both days, with light W’ly breezes and max temps of about 18-19C in Town.

The next forecast update should be on Thursday evening.
