Weather

Cooler and cloudier than the previous days, but still dry and sunny at times. The top temperature should be a seasonally normal 19C, with force 3 W’ly winds. East coast beaches will be the pick of the bunch, which will be a pleasant change after the howling onshore winds that they suffered over the last week.

Surf and Tide

Another flat day. One for the paddle-boarders, kayaker and swimmers. Medium sized tides, with a 2.5m low at 11:30am and an 8.1m high at 5:40pm.

Monday

Weather

The coolest day of the week (17-18C) with a moderate to fresh NW’ly wind. Still dry though and with the odd sunny moment, mainly in the afternoon and evening. Your prime beaches for a bit of shelter, will be Fermain, Moulin Huet, Saints and Petit Bot.

Surf and Tide

No surf to speak of again. Bigger tides though, with a 2.1m low at lunchtime and an 8.5m high at dinnertime.

Tuesday

Weather

Staying dry, probably a little more sunny than on Monday, and consequently an extra degree warmer. Winds will swing to a moderate NE’ly, so the favoured beaches will all be along the south coast, especially the beautiful Petit Port.

Surf and Tide

Still no swell I'm afraid. Tides; 1.7m low at lunchtime, 8.9m high at dinnertime.

Wednesday to Friday

Staying dry and mostly sunny, with winds mainly force 3-4 NE’ly. As the tidal range gets bigger, this will make the sheltered south coast beaches even more fabulously large and sandy in the early afternoons. Northern and eastern beaches may suffer the odd moment of sea mist, but that's uncertain at this stage, so it may never happen. Temperatures should typically peak at about 19-20C, maybe a bit higher by Friday. Night time minima should be about 15C.

The Weekend

At this stage, there appears to be no change from the dry and sunny NE’ly airflow. And I'm afraid there's no end in sight for the current spell of flat surf either.
