### MONDAY
WEATHER
Much like the whole week, it's going to be cloudier and slightly damper than initially anticipated but still a vast improvement on last week. The greatest improvement comes from the huge reduction in wind, with just a force 3-4 WNW’ly through most of the day, reducing to a force 2 NW’ly overnight. As for dryness and sunshine, seize the morning, when the showers will be so sparse that they will probably all miss us. The afternoon will be more cloudy for sure, as the shower clouds become more widespread, however, they will be a lot shallower than on Sunday, so I don’t expect the rain to be too heavy, and I certainly don't expect any hail. The top temp will be about 10C most places, but maybe 11C in Town. Overnight tonight, the minimum will be 6-7C.
SURF AND TIDES
A bit sloppy and choppy, but maybe worth a bash on the afternoon push if you’re really keen. I think we can expect a weak 3 feet at Vazon. Low water will be 2.1m at 10:40am. High water will be 8.1m at 4:40pm.
TUESDAY
WEATHER
Drier and sunnier than Monday afternoon, but still rather cloudy at times. There's only really an outside chance of a shower or two, and that seems most likely during the morning. Overnight into Wednesday, it's looking drizzly and perhaps rather misty. Winds should be a bit lighter than on Monday and temperatures generally about a degree higher throughout.
SURF AND TIDES
A pretty clean 2 foot swell for longboarders and learners; best at Vazon around breakfast time and in the mid afternoon. Low water will be 1.3m at 11:49am. High water will be 8.8m at 5:40pm.
WEDNESDAY
WEATHER
Force 2-3 WSW’ly winds and mild air will feel relatively pleasant. However, it will form low cloud as it rises up the western slopes, leading to some mistiness and light drizzle over the higher parishes. As the cloud moves east, it will tend to break up slightly, meaning that Town, should escape with less drizzle and perhaps a bit more brightness. Temperatures will hover pretty close to 10 or 11C throughout.
SURF AND TIDES
Surf still clean, and best at around 8-9am and 3-4pm. The swell should be very slightly stronger though, 2-3feet and just a bit more lined up and consistent. Low water will be 0.6m at 12:30pm (lunchtime). High water will be 9.3m at dawn and 9.4m at dusk
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY
High pressure over France, will gradually build and push the moist and murky air further north. It will still be rather cloudy at times on both days, but we should see much more sunshine than on Wednesday, and it should stay dry throughout. Winds will be barely existent, just a woft of a force 2 SSW’ly for the most part. Temperatures should peak at about 12C on Thursday, and maybe even 13-14C on Friday. Big spring tides and clean 3 foot surf on both days, perhaps even 4-5 feet by Friday, depending how stormy this week is in the distant Atlantic.
THE WEEKEND
As that high pressure system strengthens further, the light breeze will back to an ESE’ly, meaning that we might inherit some low cloud from the early morning fog that forms over France, and then lifts and drifts towards us. Both days should be nice and sunny by the mid-afternoon though. With temperatures still likely to peak in the low to mid teens. Big spring tides again on both days, with some really lovely surf. At this early stage, I'm anticipating super-clean 3-4 foot waves in the mid-late mornings and in the late afternoons (give or take a foot as the swells vary and interact).
The next forecast update will be probably be on Tuesday evening.
